Disappointed at the price they charge

Lovely setting in a beautiful place but not enough out door rubbish bins the ones there were overflowing with rubbish and one in the back car park was disgusting and obviously there had been a flood and smelt like sewage, the menu is very limited and way to expensive and would be better if a separate room service menu plus some rooms in need of a upgrade also rooms are very hot

There had been an event over the weekend lots of people around bit chaotic and messy to be honest. Receptionist was nice and helpful but we found it to be more of a conference place than an hotel. Swimming pool was amazing

Visit to North West hifi show

Visited the North West hifi show and stayed 2 nights in order to explore the local National Trust properties. Room ok but no a/c so quite uncomfortable in room as warm. We were given a room in the same corridor as the hifi show so a very busy area and window directly onto courtyard where record stall sellers and live music. Asked for fan for room on arrival at reception but did not arrive. Breakfast service poor as no one came to table to ask if we wanted tea or coffee, we therefore had to ask a staff member. Spa area very pleasant and staff helpful. Had a good swim, jacuzzi and sauna.

Overall a good stay. Clean hotel and very comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Spoiled by fire alarm going off at 3am which I suspect was due to other guests smoking weed which I could smell all along my corridor and in my room. Not the hotels fault.

We enjoyed one night day. The breakfast was fantastic, and the pool and spa facilities excellent. There was a false fire alarm incident in the night and to compensate the hotel allow us to stay on one hour extra until midday before checking out. Very thankful.

Great place to stay if you have a dog. They couldn’t have been more welcoming and there are large grounds to walk in including a park just across a very quiet road just to the North East of the site.

Beautiful Place To Stay

Lovely romantic weekend away, husband and wife, lovely clean basic double room with everything you need. great facilities, loved the pool and hottub, delicious buffet breakfast, staff very helpful & friendly. Beautiful grounds. Overall a fantastic relaxing 2 night break.
