If you're hoping to base yourself close to the downtown area, the El Paraíso and Los Caracoles are the frontrunners.

If you don't mind travelling 14 kilometres to get to the heart of town, have a look at Nerja City Centre. This locality has 22 places to stay, including the Hotel Balcón de Europa and Toboso Apar-Turis.

The vinos on offer at Bodegas Bentomiz reflect the area's unique grape varietals and climate. Sample a few blends to see how these factors impact the flavour. Unfortuntately, the Hotel Balcón de Cómpeta is the only accomodation option within a reasonable distance. But let's be honest, who needs choice when you can be practically around the corner?

You might also like to stay at the Parador De Nerja, which you'll find 15 kilometres away. Or otherwise you might prefer the Hotel Riu Monica - Adults Only, just a distance of 14 kilometres from Corumbela. We'd also recommend the Welcome Inn Nerja and the Marina Turquesa. The first is 12 kilometres away from town, while the second is 14 kilometres away.

The area is home to some stunning beaches, coastal plains, rivers and mountains. After staring slack-jawed at nature's artworks, take a look around well-known tourist sights like ruins, castles and old towns. Visitors with a good appetite for adventure can also enjoy a little snowboarding and skiing here.

Nerja is another place where you can lay back and acquaint yourself with the room service menu. Located 14 kilometres southeast of Corumbela, it's where you'll discover the Canuelo Beach and Nerja Caves. The Hotel Los Arcos and Hotel Toboso Chaparil are a few of the accommodation options here. 25 kilometres to the southwest of Corumbela you'll find Rincon de la Victoria, which is home to the Hotel Rincón Sol and Apartamentos Turísticos Añoreta. Okay stay. Breakfast was decently good for a continental breakfast. Biggest plus was the easy parking on the property and the giant supermarket right next to it. Staff is friendly. Walk to the beach is also just 15 minutes downhill. Convenient and cheap for a one night stay, but super outdated. If the hotel just upgraded their bathrooms it would make a significant difference to the overall feel. Most notably- the shower floor. It is a brown and blue streak color mix tile with brown grout. Looking at it you have no idea if it is clean or not, making using the shower feel quite gross. There is also one liquid provided in the shower- is this shampoo? Body wash? Having actual bottles at the sink and in shower would make it look less like a public bathroom. Bathroom fixtures also don’t seem cleaned well from the limescale. Room itself is ok, clean. No issues there.
