Some of the staff need a customer service training. I arrived to the hotel Around 4:15, check in time being at 4pm, the room was not ready and was given an estimated time of 5 minutes and asked if that was okay. I mean what else was I supposed to do and this gentleman replied well it can be an hour and 5 mins wait (not sure why he was being rude). I then asked about parking since it was very packed, and I received a sarcastic remark from the gentleman (Christopher). Not sure was was wrong with this individual. I go back to see if my room is ready, it's been over the 5 mins and nothing yet. I never got an I'm sorry for the inconvenience until the THIRD time I inquired about my room. It was a disappointing experience. The beach view was nice and the location was great but definitely needs improvement with customer service.

This property was advertised as walkable, it’s in a more industrial location about 15 minutes away from town. It also advertises free breakfast but we were told we didn’t qualify unless we got tickets when we checked-in. The air conditioner could not keep up and the room was HOT. Upon checkin the desk staff was watching football and barely gave us the time of day. There is also a daily parking fee and the parking lot was packed. The only upside to this stay was the restaurant staff was incredible.

Have stayed there before and have never had an issue, except for this time. Spent the day at the pool, which was great until some kids who were not staying at the hotel got in and started being disrespectful. Notified staff anx the kids did leave. Went up to room 501 and AC was not working well. It never got the room cold. Glad I took my fan. I only stayed one night so there was no sense changing rooms at that time of night. I would still recommend stayin here. Staff is great and the rooms are spacious....plus your right on the beach.

I reserved, and paid for in advance, a room described as "Premium Room, 2 Queen Beds, Bay View (High Floor)". I paid extra for this room. When I arrived, the front desk said they no longer had these rooms available and put me instead in a room on a lower floor, looking directly over a roof covered with litter and pigeon spike wire. You could technically see the bay, but not in the way that was advertised. They said there was nothing else they do, and kept the extra money I paid. Hotels.com tried to intervene, but the hotel would not budge. Very shady. The hotel itself is old but serviceable. I don't like being mislead and taken advantage of, though. I'll stay at the Omni next time for the Corpus bay.
