Really lovely hotel. Delicious food which was surprisingly affordable versus other places on our trip. Wonderful service at meals.

The Peace Lodge is a tranquil escape. There are not very many rooms, so the grounds are quiet. You get the opportunity to walk through the animal sanctuary on the grounds. The resort dog Rusty was very friendly and a welcome sight. The menus were on the expensive side and some more affordable options would be welcome, but the quality of the food was excellent.

From the first moment when we arrived to the last second before we leave it was a great experience being there. The staff is incredible: professional, responsive, attentive, responsive and very friendly. Fabiola, Brandon, Erick, Jefferson, Joan, Thank you so much for making our first meeting with Costa Rica pleasant and unforgettable. Every single dish was delicious and perfect. Our special thanks to the professional cooks: Silvia, Matilde, Miriam, Marielos, Andrea, Thank you very much for your "special' ingredients to make the food delicious and unforgettable. To all Villa Calas staff members: you have made everything for us so we will definitely come back to your beautiful place. We truly appreciate your hospitality. Thank you for everything!

Excellent!

The location is beautiful, safe, and picturesque. Breakfast was delicious, with something slightly different each day, and it was delivered right to our chalet. I stayed for 4 nights with my two teenage kids, and they absolutely loved the cosy look and feel of the chalet. Since it’s a mountain area, the mornings and evenings can get quite chilly, and rain can come at any time. Thankfully, the electric heated mattresses kept us warm and comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and lots of fun—I highly recommend it!
