After more options? Hole up like a rockstar in Brissarthe (just try not to wreck the joint). Located 30 kilometres away and home to Contigne Cathedral and Eglise Notre Dame, it's sure to be an adventure to remember! The Le Port-Saint-Aubin and Les Ondines are a few of the hotel and apartment options here. Alternatively, you could stay in Neuille, 35 kilometres to the south of Clefs, where you'll find the Hostellerie Saint-Paul and Chateau de Naze. If you're staying in Neuille, set aside a little time to visit Notre-Dame des Ardilliers and Chateau de Saumur.

Get a ride 40 kilometres southwest and you'll come across Angers, a regional centre with a population of 170,000. While you're in this neck of the woods, whip out your selfie stick and get your tourist on at the University of Angers, the Catholic University of Angers and Place du Ralliement. Theatre Municipal and Angers Cathedral are a couple more sights that are sure to offer up some choice photo ops.
