But don't work yourself into a tizzy just yet. Krzyczki is located around 35 kilometres away and boasts some fabulous places to stay, such as the Hotel 500 and Windsor Palace Hotel.

Everyone knows Aussies are pretty laid back, so consider chilling out a little longer and checking out the Saint Michael Archangel Parish and Wybickego Park in Pomiechowek, 45 kilometres to the south of Ciechanów. If you want to spend a night or two in Pomiechowek, look into the rates at the Best Western Airport Modlin and Warsaw Modlin Airport Apartment. Or, you could stay in Plock, 75 kilometres to the southwest of Ciechanów, where you'll find the Hotel Tumski and Hotel Herman. The Plock Zoo and the Masovian Museum are among the more popular attractions to check out when visiting Plock.
