Beer or champagne? However you prefer to roll, you're bound to enjoy a trip to Asan, 40 kilometres away. With the Onyang Folk Museum and Maeng Sa-seong House to check out, you're not gonna be short on things to do. If you're keen to stay in Asan, consider the rates at the Onyang Grand Hotel and Hoseo Hotel. Alternatively, you could stay in Cheongju, 65 kilometres to the east of Chungmuk, where you can choose from the Grand Plaza Cheongju and Unique Hotel NAMOO. The Cheongju National Museum and the Cheongju Early Printing Museum are up there with the most popular places to see in Cheongju.

You'll find some great things to see and do in Jeonju. The Jeonju Zoo, the Sori Arts Center of Jeolla and Miseong Bowling Jang are our top picks. This regional hub is located 80 kilometres south of Chungmuk and has a population of 700,000. The Hanji Museum and the Jeonju Korean Traditional Wine Museum are a few more which are sure to offer up some envy-inducing photo ops. The Dukmanjae and Hongranmiduk are some of the recommended hotels in Jeonju.
