The inability of staff being able to efficiently check in 2 customers on Sunday afternoon was very annoying. It took over 20 minutes for 2 staff to check in 2 guests while I waited simply to collect my luggage - something which only required a minute of attention. When there is a backlog of people waiting it's probably not a good idea to be trying to sell guests on the hotel's loyalty programme.

Hotel location, room size, and cleanliness -- all excellent. Food quality (at breakfast) a bit average. Given location (next to the Convention Center) and size, hotel is a destination for large bus groups... but location makes it attractive for central city cultural offerings and museums.

Great location and staff

Beautiful hotel located on the tram hop on hop off circuit. A great way to find your way around the city. Great book in staff member organised a room with a view on a higher floor. Easy car parking in secure area next door. Excellent hotel for food across the road.

The staying at Crowne Plaza was fantastic. The staff are really the best parts of New Zealand brought together, laid-back and friendly character mixed with really great attention to detail. Highly impressed and will stay here again for sure.
