Book Chikugokawa Onsen hotels

From the very start the staff was very nice, even though we weren't the best tourists. We stayed a short time, and in that tike the staff was friendly, despite our Faux Pas and were willing to help us with arranging luggage forwarding. The room we booked was very clean and offered coffee, tea, and ice water in our rooms which we were free to use. The mats we slept on we comfortable and had plush blankets that almost kept us TOO warm during the cool Spring nights. The Onsens though were the star of the show. We had two private Onsen attached to our room, one that was inside and one that was Open-Air. Both were incredible to be in and legitimately helped myself and my travel companion with aches and pains during the trip. I can't recommend this place enough. Must go Onsen if you find yourself in Hita.

Breakfast was an outstanding multi course meal with great attention to detail, variety, and freshness. The staff are helpful and accommodating and eager to make the stay exceptional. The outdoor baths are set in amongst a beautiful forest and the water is clear and without sulfur. We were in room 206 which had 2 large comfortable beds as well as a couch and chair making it the perfect room to spend time in. The hotel is about a 5 minute cab ride from the center of town and takes you away from the touristy area. A cab is readily available if required and we also enjoyed the 30 minute walk through the countryside to the town. The hotel is homey and comfortable like an English establishment with many areas to sit inside and outside to relax. We did not try the dinners as we wanted to experience the local atmosphere and restaurants but based upon the amazing breakfast we think that the dinners would be excellent.

Traditional ryokan style. Beautiful surroundings. Very traditional but spacious room. Wonderful Onsen. Close to cute shops and yummy snacks.

Excellent customer service. Provides shuttle bus service on arrival and departure from the property. Also provides a free booking of a private Onsen room for every staying resident.

Good hotel with nice view and good buffet dinner and breakfast. Room size is good enough also.

Everything is great 10/10 staff+room+location. a bit hard to find restaurant here.
