Good for the price

I visited Chicago for a conference and the hotel was really close to that. The staff was nice, the hotel was clean and I felt safe. It is an older bulding, built in 1928, and you can tell. It's significantly cheaper than the surrounding hotels; you get what you pay for. If I go back to NCTE/NCTM i'd stay here again.

Bedding was dirty and smelled like wet towels. The bathtub was very slippery and did not have any anti slip mat or strips in the bottom. There was nothing to grab on to while getting in and out of the tub and my daughter fell twice and injured her hand. The hotel should have at least provided an anti slip mat for the bottom of the tub for safety.

ABSOLUTE TRASH, no fitted sheet on the bed, was given a key to a room that was already occupied, outlet next to bed didn’t work, and to top it off the curtains don’t go the length of the window so bright sunlight right in your eyes

Nice and centrally located

It's in a great part of the city. very close to transit lines and nearby restaurants. Hotel itself was "nice". It's a type of room that you can get a good night's rest before you go out and sightsee. Not much of a place where you'd want to just hangout. Desk staff not the most congenial, but my interactions with them was briefly at the beginning and at the end. However, a smile and "have a nice day" would have been delightful.

Good location. Everything was fine until last morning. Before 6am heard water dripping in bathroom. It was leaking from tub above us. Ceiling was bubbling & water fall was more & more. I called help desk then husband went downstairs. When it finally stopped we cleaned soaking floor. Could not take shower before needing to leave for airport. Surprised no one came to our room to look at damage or check on us

The property deserves more credit than it gets, to some extent. The building is old, and the aesthetic lends itself to that. Pipes are visible in the hallway. Bad painting everywhere. It's just an old building. The room was rather nice. Again, aging items. Not a single USB port anywhere. Parking was the most difficult. Ended up parking two blocks away in a $30 lot vs the $65 lot across the street.

The bathroom was very clean, but also very dangerous! The sick was not mounted to the wall and was unstable. I fell while in the shower as the was whole in the tub that was covered over by a bath fitters' type molding. The hole was not filled in before the molding was placed over the tub. The hole could be felt and made the me unsteadied, which is why I fell. What needs to be addressed and corrected immediately! I could have been seriously injured.

The property is in serious need of a refurbishment. Our room had old worn carpeting, a loud window air conditioning unit, outdated bathroom. The beds were comfortable enough and the hotel is conveniently located but everything else was very 1970.

Great location, safe area, security guard and old school but modern hotel. Very spacious room. Only downfall outside the window you can hear the CTA but nothing an eye mask and ear plugs fix that.

Old building and some outlets did not work. But the location was good and it was clean. There was a microwave, coffee maker and a mini fridge in the room. We could hear the trains but it wasnt bad.

I love a good budget hotel, this one was by far the worst one I have ever stayed in. The room was gross, loud, and had curtains that didn't fully close and let an obnoxious amount of light in. The sheets were exceptionally terrible, the bottom sheet didn't even fit on the bed. There are many better hotels in the area. Don't stay here.

The property was one had block to Grant Park. Lots of dining options. Clean rooms. Walkable to the cities sites. No parking at the hotel but there is a lot and garage across the street that was VERY expensive.
