Heard 9 gunshots this morning at 4am that woke us up. Police presence and ambulances at the parking lot across the street. No fridge, no microwave. I’d skip this hotel. It’s dangerous and undesirable

I stayed at this hotel for one night, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The hotel is old and not well-maintained. The room felt dirty overall — I found hair in the toilet and on the towel, which was quite off-putting. The bathroom was extremely small, barely enough space to move around comfortably. The carpet looked and felt dusty and unclean, adding to the general feeling of poor hygiene. Noise from people outside lasted until around 3 a.m., making it very hard to sleep. On top of that, the curtains didn’t block out all the light from the window, so the room was never fully dark. Overall, I would not stay here again and do not recommend it.

We had an exceptional experience . The hotel was extremely clean and well-maintained. Housekeeping was excellent—towels were changed daily, the trash was taken out every day, and the beds were neatly made each morning. The bathroom was spotless upon arrival, and the room itself was very spacious and comfortable. We really appreciated the small pantry area that included a sink, microwave, and mini refrigerator—super convenient for a short stay. While the carpet was a bit dated, everything else more than made up for it. The attention at the front desk was outstanding. Richard, the staff member who checked us in, was incredibly kind and helpful—he got us into our room right away and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-located place to stay in Chicago!

Hotel room itself was extremely small, even for two people (the double bed room). It was hard to move around. The bathroom was small, door wise extremely close to the toilet. The AC was great tho, kept the room cool during the heat wave.

The location was good, really close to Grant park and the red line. Lots of good restaurants in the area. Because it is so close to the trains the room was pretty noisy I dont know what was up with the elevators, there wrre 3 but it seemed like only one was working at any given time, which was inconvenient and annoying, esppecially since housekeeping was also using it and you couldnt fit many people in. Major points off for that

Edwardo was the concierge. He made us feel welcome and gave recommendations on what to see in Chicago. He helped with our luggage too! The front desk was very cordial and was able to change our room accommodations to accommodate a wheel chair.

The staff was so friendly and accommodating! We were there in the middle of an unseasonably hot weekend and our room AC was not working well - they had no problem changing rooms - we didn't even have to ask. Great location - about a 15 minute walk to anywhere in downtown. Quiet corner location.

One downside was that rooms were hotter than was expecting, it’s a very old hotel. Staff, especially the manager who I wish I could remember his name, was extremely helpful and friendly. The room I originally booked was very small and he quickly helped to upgrade me and called to ask if was enjoying the new room. He provided amazing customer service

I trusted the Wyndham name, and that was a mistake. The rooms were outdated and poorly laid out. The bathtub didn’t have a stopper, so we had to create one to bathe my grandkids. The sink was a pedestal and there was no storage. We could not even put toothbrushes in there. One of the biggest issues was the television. I don’t normally watch TV on vacation, but the NBA finals were on and my son wanted to watch. The TV in the first room pixelated on ABC every time. The other channels were working. The maintenance man suggested changing rooms. Although I had already unpacked, we agreed since it was important to my son. The second room would not get ABC at all. The channels were weird, like 72.4, etc. I called the front desk to ask if they had a guide so we would know which channel was which. I was told, they had no idea, all the TVs in the hotel are different. We checked every channel and it simply wasn’t there. The staff was nice, but not helpful. The rooms were as clean as they could be, but really dated. I would not stay here again.
