As VIP customer I was able to check in early since a room was available. It appeared as if the room had been newly refurbished. The complimentary breakfast buffet and also a tasty burger in the restaurant were excellent.

Great location. Missing some modern updates, but overall enjoyed it. Bed was really comfortable. Doors slamming in the hallways was loud and off-putting. Breakfast buffet was underwhelming. Check-in/out process was easy.

From looking at the reviews after I booked my stay I thought I was going to be in trouble. Everyone just talked about how bad this place was but it was cheaper than everywhere else. Well the cheaper part was right but this place was pretty good. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful the rooms with lamps was perfect and everyone needs to remember that they are staying in an older hotel in downtown Chicago. I will definitely be there for every trip to Chicago.
