It was within walking distance of my son’s orthodontist appt and no issues parking. It was exactly what we needed to make his first appointment a smooth one since we had to drive 3 hours for the appt.

Thieves

Housekeeping or staff personnel are thieves. They stole my medication from the fridge. As it is Ozempic, we all know how many people want that medication.

This place rocketed to the top of our places to stay in Chicago. The building itself is a piece of history (loved the museum that provides details) and is gorgeous. The rooms are clean, modern, and well appointed. The free breakfast was better than most. Highly recommended!

Advise Not Staying Here

Let me start by saying, that I appreciate the GM for their accommodations but I will never stay here again. I arrived around 12, my room was not ready, which was fine, I return at 2:35, room is still not ready. There were several people checking in before me whose rooms were ready… I sit and wait in the lobby and at 3 it’s mysteriously ready. The room appears clean but because I have to leave for work, I drop my things off and don’t fully inspect. Upon arriving back, I notice there are uncleaned surfaces. As I get ready to go to sleep, I pull the sheets back and there is hair All in the bed and little black things. Behind the nightstand there are fingernail clippings, behind the bed is trash and layers of dust. I call the front desk for new sheets but apparently there is only 1 person working and they couldn’t bring me the sheets. So I ended up sleeping on the couch using my coat as a blanket. In the morning I move rooms just 2 doors down and I notice for the rest of my stay is how housing keeping cleans that floor before 1pm… but on Monday no rooms are available until 3? Again, the GM was amazing, but please make sure each is getting cleaned properly. There was tissues and contacts left behind the nightstand in the second room and no one bothered to vacuum when they cleaned it throughout the week. I do not appreciate being treated unfairly and again will not be returning to this hotel.

When we arrived, the room that we paid for wasn't available.And they would not refund the difference in the rooms. When we arrive to our room, there was food in storage containers.Left in the refrigerator and a vape device beside the bed in the bedside table. When I called to ask them to come remove and clean. They said they would and a maintenance man walked into my room without knocking. And just took the food out of the fridge, did not clean it. Very disappointing.
