Everything was just okay. Staff was accommodating without a smile. Minimally informative. I was made to feel I was intruding if I asked a question. The physical facility is clean and modern but somehow stingy and unhelpful, lacking things you wanted such as bottled water. The location is very convenient to the train station, but on the wrong side of the tracks -- in the neighborhood where nothing is going on. Crossing the tracks is a big 5-10 deal with lots of steps and needing to take a ticket to cross (so you are not mistaken for someone sneaking into the train for a free ride).

The rooms were extremely clean and housekeeping did an incredible job daily. The breakfast is good when compared to US Holiday Inn Express. The location is within walking distance to the Taiwan Rail Chiayi station not to be confused with high speed rail (not in proper city limits). It’s about a 20 min walk (~1 mile) to the Wenhua Road night market and pretty flat but in most smaller cities sidewalks are non-existent.

Amazing!

This place was unexpectedly amazing. HI Express are usually good, but this was amazing. King bed room was so big! Huge ceilings, great lighting, had a sofa, chair, little stool that you can also take out onto the balcony - which is also amazing to chill on. They even have 100 channels of TV which actually works unlike most places. Nice and clean bathroom, good soap, iron, kettle and a good-sized mini fridge too. Oh, and the slippers are plush amd comfy. Breakfast had a good selection and clean. At the time of writing there was free ice cream from 9am-9pm on the first floor. Honestly can't say enough postive things about this place. Super nice staff too.

Amazing Hotel

We reached around 6, after coming down from Alishan. Check in a breeze and hotel room is big and clean. Good varieties for breakfast. For dinner, we walked to nearby Supermart, where there're some restaurants.

Take about 5 min.walk from the Back of Chiayi train station, hotel is pretty new, complimentary Luisa Coffee and ice cream at the ground floor Lobby, coin laundry is very convenient
