Super beautiful romantic hotel. They upgraded our room just because no one was using the superior room, super beautiful bathroom and nice bed, beautiful restaurant and mountain views. I will advise that the town is pretty dead during the time we were there (start of may) with nothing open. If you are looking for a calm day to relax after a hike , it's a great place, but there is not much to do other than hike and there is no food other than the hotel.

The property was beautiful and the staff was excellent. The spa was not open all day only 4 to 8. The breakfast was exceptional. I would go back. The spa was immaculate as was the rest of the hotel. My only issue was that the room was too warm and there was no way to cool it down except open the slider with no screen.

This gorgeous apartment in Dorio was amazing. The views from the terrace are breathtaking. The apartment has all the modern conveniences and is tastefully decorated.We found the beds extremely comfortable and clean.The apartment is in the quiet town of Dorio, which we enjoyed because Varenna felt too touristy for our tastes though accessible by car. Sue, the host was very responsive when we needed to contact her.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this stunning apartment with a view. Thank you Sue and Martin!
