Lovely Villa with stunning views of the area and wildlife. Easy drives to Pisa and Lucca with also closer medieval villages to explore. We loved Barga and its restaurants and Castelnuovo Di Garfagnana . Villa is a lovely traditional villa that is well equipped and spacious. Has everything you need. True that the Road to the villa is windy and narrow but managed to drive our SUV hire car up to the villa without difficulty as there are plenty of passing places. Pool and surrounding clean and pleasant with plenty of shade if needed. Hosts very friendly and helpful.

Since the booking was made for the same day, I wasn’t able to select a higher-priced option that includes free cancellation. I booked this hotel by mistake, as the drive turned out to be too long and we wouldn’t be able to arrive before check-in time. I understand this was my error, but I tried to cancel the reservation within 30 minutes of booking, and the system didn’t allow it. I also attempted to reschedule for a later date, but that request was declined. I contacted both the hotel and Hotels.com, but haven’t been able to find a resolution. I would really appreciate it if the hotel could be a bit more flexible in a situation like this.

Where to begin!? The photos in the listing simply do not do this property justice. It is a truly magical location and I highly recommend it. We rented the entire place, for 20 people, to celebrate a birthday and each family, couple or single had their own private space/apartment, while still being part of the whole. It's charming and had all the amenities. There are several nearby villages to grab dinner or groceries, and Lucca is only an hour away. It's a bit of a hike to the marble quarries, or Cinque Terre but we did it. You must have a car or driver though, it's too remote to get to and from easily. The owners were delightful. We ended up booking breakfast everyday, as well as a pizza night and a final goodbye dinner with their chef. Everything was fantastic!! Make sure you get an e-sim (their wifi is fine too) before you arrive and load up google translate, as the owners only speak Italian. We will cherish our memories of our stay for years to come.

Relaxing, peaceful, remote location, which can be easily accessed from Pisa / Florence by car. Fantastic views across the valley. Hosts were great at communicating, before and during the stay. Would recommend for an older family that wants to get away from it all.

Lovely old mountain house with great pizza oven and stone built BBQ. The gardens are great and the pool was amazing. THAT VIEW!! you feel like you are swimming in the mountains. We even saw fire flies at night.

Loved the setting. great mountain view, comfortable room, great value, great breakfast which cost 8 euro. would definitely return.
