Front desk was not friendly. There was no hot water our entire stay. AC controlled by desk. Restaurant/bar staff friendly and accommodating only plus side. Also location is far from any sort of restaurants/bars. Close to beach but we went during the off season so not super helpful.

Great service and guest experience, some areas of hotel were a little dated, didn’t provide coffee/milk replenishment one coffee each over two day. Beach is lovely and nicer vibe than pool which is overcrowded and grass warm.

Overall experience was great. Staff was friendly, professional and all around great. Lots of outdoor areas to hangout and spend time outside. Pool area was nice. Minibar was stocked with good options and the prices are not bad comparing to other hotels I've stayed. It was almost cheaper to drink from the minibar vs. The actual hotel bar. Pool area was nice but maybe in the busy season it could get growded. Each room has Echo device with Alexa, so you can play music or get other information easily. The room i stayed was clean and good but some things were little outdated and rundown, some USB charging ports by the bed was not working, the thermostat screen and buttons were damaged but i was still able to turn down the temperature, i just couldn't see the actual temperature reading. But because the staff was so great and my stay was great, these things did not bother me. TV channels are all in italian, or at least the 100+ channels i scrolled thru, so if you like watching TV during your stay and don't understand the language, i recommend to bring your own movies or tv shows. I would stay here again. 1 night - room 109 - male 43 - shoe size 11

We’ve been traveling through Italy for three weeks and have stayed in several hotels, but unfortunately this was the only one that left us feeling disappointed. The hotel is run down and in need of major updates. The pillows smelled bad and were very uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Most of the staff were not friendly or welcoming, with the exception of the bellboy who was helpful and courteous. The onsite restaurant was also a letdown — overpriced and poor quality compared to the many wonderful dining options available elsewhere in Catania. Overall, this stay did not meet expectations and we would not recommend this hotel.

The Best

Our family had an amazing experience at Romano. The staff was incredible. From the front desk to the bar tender. Everyone was so kind to my family. The rooms were great. The pool was beautiful. Getting into town was easy. We miss our time at the Romano.
