Book Casa de Madera hotels

This place is too expensive for what they offer. The building itself is very old; the hot water takes a long time to warm up; the rooms feel dirty and outdated. While it's close to the airport, the main plaza, and other attractions, the city is so affordable that you can easily get around with Uber. The location is poor. The noise from the street, the bar, and the casino makes it impossible to sleep. The pool is the only good feature, but be prepared: since it's the only pool in the area, outsiders are allowed to use it during the day, and it gets very crowded, especially on weekends. Despite all these issues, the staff is amazing. They were the only reason it was somewhat worth staying here. However, this is not a 4-star hotel.

Great service and excellent staff

Clean room, window above dirt let light in off & on as people returned, kept waking us up, halls were very noisy with people in the late evening, and drilling and construction during the evening. The fan was not enough with no outside windows to get cooler air, so it was extremely hot to sleep. Staff were lovely, restaurant was very good, they got us a taxi to airport at a good price. Location good in downtown. Good price. Comfortable bed.

Staff were very friendly. However I don’t understand why the room had a window onto the corridor which shone light into my room the whole night. Why not just put up curtains? (The window also didn’t shut completely so it was harder to block out the noise). Ear plugs and eye mask are a must if you want to be able to sleep here.

Really didnt find it very welcoming. Wifi was horrible.
