Loved the property - pool, excellent dining, close to walled city/shopping. Unfortunately there was a bug in my room. They insisted that I move in the middle of the night, upgraded my room, checked on me regularly and compensated me for my discomfort and inconvenience. The customer service was impressive.

Intercontinental was welcoming the minute i walked into this hotel. Nice clean spacious rooms with a beautiful ocean view. Breakfast was good and fresh everyday. A very pleasant stay in Cartagena.

I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. The hotel is ideally placed within the Barrio Bocagrande area of Cartagena. Directly across from the beach and a wide selection of eateries, shops and bars in the vicinity. The hotel is in very good condition. The room I was allocated was very good, spacious, very comfortable and quiet. WiFi reception was good and I wide range of TV Channels were available. I used the pool area and gym each day of my visit and both were very good. I had breakfast in the hotel each morning and on a couple of the mornings (despite being down around 9.30) I found that many of the salad items had been finished or were very low which was disappointing. All of the staff I encountered were very friendly, helpful and professional.

We stayed in a corner Grand Suite! It was spacious, beautiful, equipped like an apartment, had 2 bathrooms and most of all it had the most amazing views, EVEN FROM THE BATHROOM!!! The property was beautiful and clean. We loved the pool bar and enjoyed sitting poolside listen to the DJ, eating the delicious wings and sipping on a cocktail! Even though our suite allowed us access to the club lounge which offered a free drink happy hour, we preferred the ambiance of the pool bar. The location was also perfect. There were several stores, restaurants and even a casino a few steps away. The ride in to town was 10-15 minutes by cab and cost about five USD. The hotel staff were always there to hail a cab for you. Although the hotel was directly on the beach, I personally preferred the peace and quiet of the hotel pool. I would definitely recommend this location and if you’re able to, splurge on a corner suite!!

Yair restaurant manager was extremely helpful and friendly. Ivanna at the intercontinental Club on the 15th floor had a great smile everyday outstanding service. She is the#1 reason I give this hotel excellent experience. I will love to come back to Cartagena and I will definitely book at the Intercontinental.
