Breakfast buffet $ 12 per person if booked with room… do it! was very good with a variety of hot choices fruit cheese cereals etc. immediately adjacent beach can rent loungers $30 per chair across the street but street vendors annoying. Pool is not arranged with enough loungers. There are not enough seating. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff helpful but we requested missing robes 3 times and they were never delivered. Location is $10 uber from old town with 5 min pick up. This hotel is Good value for the money.

I had a wonderful stay at the InterContinental Cartagena. My favorite part was how comfortable the room was—the sheets were excellent and the pillows were amazing, making it easy to truly relax. The hotel pool is beautiful, and watching the sea from the infinity pool is a wonderful experience and definitely a highlight of the stay. The staff was courteous, professional, and went out of their way to meet my expectations—thumbs up to them for their outstanding service. I would also love to highlight the cleanliness of the hotel, as the room was spotless and very well maintained throughout my stay.

Our suite was dated and lacked of maintenance along with superficial cleaning. Our bathroom had a sewerage smell coming from one of the sinks. The top Shower head had low pressure and hot water not optimum. The bathtub although beautiful, took an hour in a half to fill up which is unacceptable. The staff was kind but we feel that a little bit of english would be useful for non speaking Spanish tourists to provide better service to an increansinly international clientele. Unfortunately an expensive room for wha it was.

Generally it is an ok hotel. Building is old but it is kept clean. Room service and pool side dining takes forever. I ordered room service after 10pm and it took more than an hour and quality was bad. The private lounge on 15th floor was a good spot to eat breakfast and snacks in a small and intimate lounge. Staff were generally friendly and doing their best to help. Khadija was exceptionally caring when she realised our poolside dining experience was bad the other day.
