Lovely hotel and nice spacious rooms. It was an inconvenience that are room wasn't ready at 4:20pm when check-in is from 3pm and I was asked to confirm time of arrival in advance, which I did. I followed up to question it after my wife was informed there'd be a 20 minute or so wait as we had a table booked with friends. We were given a room then but it was decided for guests need special adaptations and not really ideal

The room was a great size very clean, great amenities. However the soap/shampoo bottles were empty and there as no heating on any of the bedrooms. We were given heaters however in January winter weather this didn't feel good enough for a hotel like this.

Overall the hotel was fine for what we needed. Sadly on our check out morning, our bathroom smelt of weed (presumably from adjacent rooms). Reported this to the reception for information and told we should have reported sooner so they could move us rooms. We were checking out so didn't need another room. To then be charged for storing our bags for a few hours when we saw people do so for free on arrival felt unfair.
