Show up in the afternoon for the ragged-tooth shark feeding. It’ll be fun for you, but not the fishes.

When your time at the aquarium is up, make the short trek over to the Castle of Good Hope, a star-shaped fort built by the Dutch East India Company in the 1600s. The décor of the old days has been restored and the place is now home to a great museum. Part of the castle was once used as a prison, but don’t worry—that’s been closed for some time now.

Shopping, Dining & Nightlife

Another great place to eat at a variety of establishments is the area around Long Street. If you fancy yourself a farmers market guru, check out the Old Biscuit Mill on Saturdays.
