We rented this wondering property for 10 days as base for our fall hunt. The place was perfect for our needs. The host was responsive to our questions and followed up if needed. We willstay here again on future trips!

While this is an older facility, the room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and lastly it is a park at the door motel. No long hallways. The facility is very near the Cumbres & Toltec Railway station and it is convenient to restaurants in Antonito. Nice owners.

What a wonderful property! Clean, comfortable, quiet. Everything we needed or wanted was there.

I don’t think there is enough space to list all of the great qualities of this property!! First of all the cabin is amazing! It was just the right size for the two of us and had everything we could possibly need. It is beautifully built with the perfect mix of modern meets nature. I don’t think you could get closer to the Conejos River without being IN it!! The sounds, the smells and the scenery exceeded expectations! We even heard, and then saw, a bull elk rounding up his cows one morning. Another morning we saw two doe mule deer and their fawns crossing the river while we were fishing. The fishing…….although we fished on public access one afternoon we spent the rest of the time right there fishing the stretch of Trout Tales. The quality of fishing is great and the fish are huge! What makes this place top notch are the Hosts; very personable, kind, squared away and just overall friendly! Allison’s communication was clear and constant. If we had any questions, she responded right away. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Also, they are pet friendly and our lab, Oakley, has never been so exhausted! Whether you are an avid fisherman or just need a peaceful place to stay, look no further. Trout Tales will not disappoint!
