So cool!!! In Ireland, at a castle, and we got to stay in it! Build a fire, climb the stairs, enjoy the view, and snuggle up in the nice top floor bed.

My husband and I stayed just about a week at this lovely home just outside of Castletownbere. The house was immaculately clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. The house had everything we needed, including a new washer and dryer, and made our stay very comfortable. The location was perfect for us to discover the Beara Peninsula and surrounding areas. We are very highly recommend this home to anyone traveling the Beara Peninsula area of Ireland.

Everything was perfect. Clean room, excellent pool, friendly staff and the food in the restaurant was really exceptional. Fantastic location too.

You know those places you see online and think, “there’s no way it actually looks like that”? That’s exactly what I thought—until I got there. It’s even better in person. The whole property feels like stepping into another time, quiet and untouched, where the noise of the world finally falls away. It gave me back a sense of peace I didn’t realize I’d lost.

Enjoyed the scones and tea upon arrival! Great dinner and breakfast options. Clean, quiet, spacious room. Fabulous trad session in the pub that evening.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC STAY!!!!Damien and Niamh were extremely friendly and helpful from the beginning of the booking till the end of our stay. They sent us a digital check-in guide with a ton of information. Many stays with rental homes and we have never seen attention to detail like this!Upon arrival, we were given a very large welcome basket, showed the property and told to call or write if anything should be needed.This property is large and can completely handle the 10 person occupancy as advertised. The rooms are all very spacious and appointed appropriately.We asked to have a BBQ in the middle of the week for about 15 adults and 5 kids and the owners were very gracious and said that it would not be a problem. There was plenty of kitchen gear to handle this and more!! We used the pizza oven twice as the kids had so much fun building their pizzas! The pizza oven is quite large for a personal residence and we could bake 2 pizzas at a time. They have an abundance of firewood already stocked to use for the fireplaces (2), pizza oven and firepit.The weather was gorgeous for us and so we spent almost all of our time outdoor with the patio furniture or at the firepit, we only had 2 nights that were windy with a little rain. The best part of the house is that it is extremely quiet up on the hill but if you want to go hang out at the pub it is only about a 100m walk. The Tin Pub is so close and Arundels is just around the corner.
