The AC did not work in my room, the food was horrible, had to go to front desk 5 times because my key didn’t work. I did t get a confirmation for my transportation back to the airport I had pay for a taxi. I will never stay at Riu again

Our room was nice, until we started noticing different things, toilet paper holder was broken, floor was sticky, there were no working air vents, so everything felt damp, even our clothes that were still in our suitcases, sheets felt damp and smelled. We asked for sheets to be changed and they weren’t. The staff were all great, especially Abu at the bar.

If you’re a foody then you’ll understand that All Inclusive resorts are basic in the food dept. The buffet has the same thing every meal every day. It’s a variety but if you’re picky this is not for you. The steak house was decent. Italian sucked. Japanese restaurant was better. The room was beautiful and the ocean view in 648 was incredible. The water smells when you shower. The hotel is beautiful, older decor but still amazing and clean. Staff is wonderful & so friendly! Drinks were gross. Super sugary and just taste different than in America. I just made my own with the Bacardi and vodka in the room. Rum & Pepsi. Vodka & water with coconut Gatorade from across the street. Senior Frogs is a 10 min walk. And it’s still typical México and everything is a “special price” or “best deal for you today!” Pools were beautiful.

It was claimed that the property was fully renovated but that's far from the truth. Outside the building has been freshly painted but all the rooms had a poor quality. We found cockroaches in thr bathroom
