Overall nice property and experience. Wasn’t a fan that the bars only had one server. Especially the lobby bar. At night when it was the only bar open it took awhile to get a drink. Also, you have to make in person reservations the morning of for dinner. If you missed your time slot you had to go to the buffet. Even when there was open tables available and I was by myself.

We really enjoyed our stay the hotel’s proximity to the beach was great, the room was lovely, and the pools were a nice bonus. However, only one elevator was working during our visit, which caused long wait times. We also had some trouble with the room key cards constantly deactivating, requiring multiple trips to the front desk for reactivation.

If you’re looking to stay at a budget-friendly resort, Continental Tucancun is a great option for your wallet. The location is perfect—right across the street, there’s a shopping center with a supermarket, pharmacy, clothing stores, restaurants, and even a hospital. The service at the resort was excellent, especially at the buffet, thanks to Miriam, Omar, and Jennifer, who were very kind and attentive. We also want to thank Noelia and Victor from the entertainment team for all the activities. Noelia, thank you so much for my braids—I loved them! Thanks to all of you, our experience with the hotel staff was amazing. Unfortunately, not everything was perfect. The food was not very good, especially at the buffet, where they serve the same things every day: pasta, mashed potatoes, chicken, and pork for both lunch and dinner. There is little variety and the food lacks flavor. The resort has three additional restaurants, but they are only open for dinner and require a reservation. The problem is you need to wake up early in the morning to secure one. If you go around 8:30 or 9:00 a.m., there are usually no spots left. We stayed for 11 days and were only able to get three reservations. Our goal in choosing a resort was to relax, not to stress about waking up early just to make a dinner reservation.

One night only stay to be close to departure airport, booked past minute. Discovered a long-standing water leak in our room with black mould (like, baseboards crumbling when touched) when I noticed my bag was wet after leaning against a wall nowhere near the bathroom. No bracelets given at check-in (so had to backtrack and wait in reception queue again), zero towels in room or anything in the fordge on arrival. Very disappointed, especially since we checked out early with penalty from Occidental Cozumel. Will not be back.

Of so many travels to Cancun, this was my worse due to this hotel. Since we got there until we left. AC was not working, food was terrible and guests services was bad. Would never stay at this place ever again

Honestly everything was great except there aren’t many things to do ….. there’s 3 pools-1 adult , 2 family ones . However the main family one is pretty small for the hotel size and is the only one with activities, the second family one Is smaller so it’s nicer in some ways except when the chairs get full since they don’t have many, lastly the adults….honeslty looks bigger than the other two but for some reason all the adults w no children were at the main or smaller pool not leaving space for families. Food was 1/5 , giving the one for the breakfast. Italian menu is a joke honestly and it’s so sad since you have to be up at 7:30 to make the reservations . There is a free photo that you receive digitally, however If you would like more of the photos they take it’s $10 us per photo.

The hotel has a beautiful beach and view! BUT the dining offered was not the best, same food served everyday. When checked in, the room given was not properly cleaned and there were roaches in every corner you looked. We reported the incident and got switched to another room that was nice.

My wife and I had a wonderful time minus some hiccups that one of the managers Mr. Martin graciously fixed for us, offering a free upgrade and later check out service. The food not too good, but we didn’t starve lol. The beach was amazing! Customer service friendly and helpful.
