To start, the transportation and booking process can be very complicated. We left the airport and arrived at the wrong location. Luckily we met up with the same driver that dropped us off and he took us the proper location of Grand Oasis Palm free of charge. We checked in which took about 10-20 min as expected. Once we got into our room the first thing we noticed was how run down the room was. Had mold on the ceiling, a light falling out, the bed and couch have a cheap feel to them. It depends on expectations but for me when paying for an all inclusive I expect a room where I can relax and feel comfortable. The cheap feeling of the room gave me the opposite and just led me to feel like I didn’t want to spend too much time in there. Lastly on the room, the shower was a mess every time you would turn it on. There is a piece of glass acting as a curtain, but every time the shower was turned on it would cover the entire floor of the bathroom as well as splashing on the toilet. I asked the front desk and they told me all of the room had that same bathroom design which is an inconvenient design choice. The shower just came off dirty to me, and didn’t seem like it was taken care of. Staff were the biggest bright spot, from the front desk to the bar tenders they all had a professional and friendly attitude which was very pleasant. The buffets were rough though and complicated as the we weren’t told where to eat. Restaurants were pretty good actually. I believe the Mona was best.
