The service was excellent, everything was very good

We got a standard room paying $85 which is on the high end for Ecuador. The rooms were old, the bathtub warped as you stepped on it. Later, we arrived late at night and could not contact the receptionist either by knocking on the door nor calling the phone numbers they gave us. There was no doorbell either, we finally got in contact with him and he let us in with no apology. The photos don’t match the property I’d look elsewhere.

Well priced budget hotel. About a 20 minute walk from the old historic central, but we took a walking route down stairs that avoided traffic. The old town itself is beautiful with murals and restored colonial buildings.

The room was spotless, and the staff was professional and courteous, and very much accommodating

We arrived and the police were there as a group of the guests were all asking for their money back. The place was very dirty and did not look anything like the photos.
