Personal and Professional Staff

The front desk staff are exceptionally personable and kind. At check out, we forgot an article in the room. When making arrangements to retrieve the item at a later date, the reception staff person was very considerate to acknowledge our stressful circumstances. She retrieved the item immediately, kept it in safekeeping, and made appropriate inquiry as to how we were all doing when we could next get back a week later. Very kind.

I was unfamiliar with the area in the city, but I felt very comfortable. The hotel room was clean and well-maintained. The complimentary breakfast was nice and had good variety. The staff was overall friendly, but when we were checking in, a guest was checking out with her children and she seemed to be in distress. Both the staff members at the counter were scoffing at her, dismissing her, and a guest even made a racist remark, which I found very uncomfortable. I did not appreciate the lack of compassion for someone in such a stressful and serious situation. My friend and I are both women on our own unfamiliar with the area, and did not feel safe to call them out on their behaviour, but I hope that behaviour doesn't reflect on the businesses.

the beds were extremely uncomfortable, the tv was way out of date (who uses cable tv anymore?), the pillows were ridiculous, glad I brought my own. for some reason at 1am the fire alarm went off, people were leaving their rooms and there was no communication or assistance from the staff nor was there a later explanation, apology, nor compensation for the inconvenience. the only thing good about the stay here was the breakfast. the dining area was clean and well kept, and the food was plentiful and delicious. Overall the stay should be a 2.5 star not a 3. But the price was reasonable.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a suite and the hotel provided a clean pack and play for us to use. The facilities were clean. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked during breakfast service, they also provided gluten free options from a separated kitchen. The only down side was that all suites are located on the road side of the hotel. MACLOAD TR. is a very noisy road. Bring a sound maching or ear plugs.

Family getaway

The beds were dreadfully uncomfortable. If you don't appreciate a rock hard bed, best avoid. But the breakfast was good and the pool was great for the kids. The rooms did experience a lot of outside noise though. Could hear everyone walking and doors closing and talking in the hallway quite clearly.
