The two main reasons for booking the property was it accommodated our whole family of 11 including 5 teenage grandsons & it had a pool to entertain them. When we arrived the pool water smelt, was brown with silt & mud. A pool guy was there trying to clean.it. He said every time it rains heavily, dirt washes into the pool, they have told the owners to build a retaining wall but it hasn't happened. We were there for 6 days & the pool was not fit to swim in until the afternoon of the last day. Even though the pool guy regularly attended. Other issues included, the glass oven door was falling off, there was not enough cutlery and plates (we had to buy), there was no sheets for the fold out sofa bed (we had to buy), the BBQ was disgusting, the ceiling fans in 2 x bedrooms did not work, & a cupboard door was hanging off in the kitchen. All these issues were not addressed by the owners while we were there. Even though I regularly sent SMSs with photos. Also the drain in the ground floor bathroom did not clear flooding the shower and bathroom floor, the air conditioner in the 1st floor lounge room didn't work properly, the lawns had not been mowed 200mm high in sections, pillows were so thin they were non existing & the ceiling fans had dirt hanging off them. In saying that it is a beautiful restored old Queenslander but the owners need to respond to issues & check the property prior to guests arriving. I requested compensation for all the above & was only given a 9.3% refund.
