Sorry! As much as we've tried, we haven't been able to track down any places to stay in the heart of Breidavik.

No need to panic though! Flateyri is approximately 65 kilometres away and offers some fantastic places to stay, including the Fisherman Hótel Suðureyri and Guesthouse Nupur.

It's well known that Aussies are pretty relaxed, so consider hanging round a little longer and checking out the Westfjords Heritage Museum and the Arctic Fox Centre in Isafjordur, 80 kilometres to the northeast of Breidavik. If you're keen to stay in Isafjordur, consider the Hotel Edda Isafjordur and Hótel Ísafjörður. Or, you could stay in Grundarfjordur, 85 kilometres to the southeast of Breidavik, where you can choose from The Old Post Office and Grundarfjördur Hostel. We had a pleasant stay. Although the room was small, it was well maintained and very clean. The bed and comforter were comfortable, and the towels were plush and of good quality. The staff were warm and welcoming. The only drawback was that the shower pressure was somewhat low, and the water did not get sufficiently hot for my preference.
