Holidays in Bramley
If that Chrissie money you got from Nan is burning a hole in your wallet, why not spend it on a holiday to Bramley? We assure you — it'll be a gift that keeps on giving!
It lies 3,100 kilometres west of Canberra, the nation's capital.
Spend the day enjoying the refreshing ocean breeze and collecting washed up treasures at Back Beach or Prevelly Beach.
You don't have to be stuck on the road all day to experience some nature. Just 30 kilometres out of Bramley, Ngiligi Cave is an excellent place to kick back and relax. Even more peaceful surrounds await at Mammoth Cave, 20 kilometres away.
For a lovely spot to sit yourself down and devour a book, you can't go past Gloucester Park.
You'll find even more just down the road. Cowaramup, 7 kilometres to the north, is known for the Vasse Felix Winery and the Cullens Wines. Though, if Redgate Beach and the Margaret River Golf Club sound better to you, head 7 kilometres southwest from Bramley to Margaret River.
Spend a while wandering around the Amaze'n Margaret River, the Leeuwin Estate and the Stella Bella Wines. These sights are all not far from the middle of Witchcliffe, 11 kilometres to the south. More time to kill? The Arlewood Estate and the Swallows Welcome Winery should also be on your itinerary.
Credit cards? Check. ID? Check. But have you brought your appetite? With some fabulous food and drink to indulge in across this region, it's the one thing you shouldn't travel without.
A typical ingredient in the cuisine here is beef. One more is lamb. They're definitely worth trying out if they're not a part of your food repertoire already.
You don't need to spend all night reading through the restaurant menu while in Bramley. Dive straight in and sample the local specialties, such as salt and pepper squid and meat pie.
Dessert is never a bad idea, so why not indulge in a little peach melba? It's worth every last calorie!
It's impossible to get the full travelling experience until you've tossed back the local beer. Whether you're looking to quench your thirst or get some liquid courage to meet new people, ask for Emu Export.
Bundaberg Spiced Rum is what the locals drink when the night beckons for something with a bit more of a punch. Ask your bartender for a taste and see if it does the trick.
Lift a glass of a local speciality such as Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon or Great Southern Shiraz. Expert sommelier or not, there's nothing like a decent drop.
With just a little bit of your holiday budget left to spend, don't forgot to stock up on some postcards of the incredible Margaret River Wine Region region before it's time to say goodbye.
Perth Airport (PER), the closest airport, is 230 kilometres to the north from the middle of Bramley. Map out a route, pack up your bag and set your alarm clock — and don't hit the snooze button too many times!

Margaret River Hideaway
The stay was perfect for our family. The kids loved the morning feeds and the sand pits. The cottages were well equipped and the electric blankets were a welcome surprise for the cool spring nights.

Good, comfortable room. Quiet environment. Staff - particularly those in the bar and restaurant - were great, but extra staff in the evening would be advisable. Restaurant meals were tasty. Breakfast was filling!
