Book Bowdoin hotels

Immaculate and welcoming. Pleasant staff. My daughter and I had a very comfortable stay while in town for a dance competition. We had received notification prior to our stay that the pool and fitness center was closed due to renovations, and were disappointed that we didn’t pack our bathing suits when we found it was actually open. Parking was free but not plentiful- we came back late and all spaces were filled. Had to park next door in the hotel’s “event parking” which was fine but sidewalk to the hotel (not far) was completely covered in ice and not maintained the same as the spaces near the building.

Breakfast was good with decent options but artificial eggs were not preferred. Both Pool and Gym were closed for renovations which was not mentioned on website and only pool stated at check-in. Ended up going to Planet Fitness a day later when we found Gym was also not available. Very few guests and empty halls reminded me of the Shining. Looked up property to find they are being sued for for unleashing bacterial infections on 20+ guests of the pool as they were not checking chlorine levels and keeping water clean. We saw family in Brunswick and they were shocked to hear we were staying there. Stay was pleasant enough with coffee options and water and juice available 24/7/365. We used the lobby/breakfast area to assemble with family. Staff was very good and responsive to our needs.

So first room had a bed bug found, so switched to another room. Second room: was unable to adjust temperature down to comfortable setting and TV would turn on but unable to get picture or channels.

Everything was very nice including breakfast. Side of motel facing route 295 is very loud. Switched to room on other side and all was nice and quiet.
