The kitchen was fully equipped and ready with outdoor gas grill, small appliances and plenty of cooking/ baking pans. We could choose to cook in or go out.
The linens were all very clean... smelled so fresh! Lots of little amenities... small coolers and beach chairs to use, toiletries, cleaning supplies, kitchen supplies(i.e. foil, saran wrap). We got spoiled in the recliners... and on the back balcony overlooking the cove. You can fish off the two docks. The outdoor seating area was lovely. Free washer and dryer with detergent and dryer sheets if needed. Kayaks... we missed the chance to do that but will take advantage next time!
This property is on the very quiet end of the island. The bike paths were great for walking or biking. Island Bikes was a great place to rent bikes reasonably. Check out Jug Creek Marina and Fish House for fresh catch to grill. Froggy's, Lazy Flamingo and the Eagles Nest were good bars. Tarpon Lodge for a cocktail and good sunset. Caluso Heritage Trail was interesting and historical. Blue Dog had good food.
Driving off/ on the island at certain times requires extra time and patience. Fun things we did in the area.... Edison Ford Winter Starts, rented bikes on Sanibel, walked Ft Myers Beach., Spring training game for MLB.
We would definitely stay here again! Hosts were wonderful, engaging and the other folks staying there were lovely. Note: it really is living on island time.... extremely laid back which was just what we needed.
