Book Blankenborn hotels

Not as described, pool closed for refurb, not advertised, room said sleeps 3, barely 2, evening barman was absolutely obnoxious

The property and area are as described in listing. If you have any mobility issues note that the stairs leading into unit are steep and the stair case to the loft area is pretty treacherous (although kids would love that space and probably be fine with the stairs). Otherwise the property was perfect for us. We took a bike ride, used the pool, very relaxing.We did have a problem with GoogleMaps taking us to the same address in a different town; the host tried to assist us over the phone but the language barrier was an issue. Not the host fault but just beware of Google Maps.

Lovely accommodation food really good and great choice of breakfast. The only fault we had is with parking, after having driven 7 hours we found nowhere to park. We had to park on pavement across road, don't rely on parking being available. I think the great location and setting meant other non residents used the hotel parking.

We booked a double room and had a single duvet and one pillow. There was no control for the TV and nobody to ask for one. There was no internet for the duration of our stay. We could not check out as there was no person on duty at 9-15am despite reception supposedly available until 11.00 am. We had to leave our room key on the letter box. Could not recommend this hotel.

Having booked this hotel with very low expectations I was blown away by its facilities and 5* restaurant. The staff were fantastic, rooms exceptionally clean and restaurant was the best in the area. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend. The hotel Kunz offers exceptional value for money and easy parking which is always welcome especially as i was in a large van.
