Small small things missing or unappealing: - bathroom door handle was loose. - bathroom door had no lock. - bathroom shower drain looks a bit clogged. Water was taking time to drain. - floor in the room was squeaking. - bed linen was feeling a bit sticky. - vegetable full breakfast missed to have vegetable sausages and an egg. Not sure how the chef forgot that.

Room was acceptable. Grouting in shower cubicle was ingrained with mould, shower tray had dirty stain around the drainage area. No shelves to put soap or shampoo. Cold tap in wash basin leaks. One of the wall lights didn't work. Staff were not attentive - we asked for a hairdryer which didn't materialise, also likewise an extra pillow.

It's a very tired Hotel. Needs an upgrade to justify the cost. No TV remote in room. Heater starting to rust and signs of mold in shower area. Won't be staying here again. Location is good.

Not suitable for neurodivergent people/those sensitive to noise. The hotel itself isn't bad for the price - you tend to get what you pay for, after all. The room was fine, if looking a little tired, consummate with its age and price. However, if you are neurodivergent, like me, or have other conditions that cause an extra-sensitivity to sound,, then I advise to give this hotel a miss. I was kept awake throughout the night by terribly creaky floorboards above me. It was constant, which I can't quite understand - I'd expect occasional noise from people coming in late or getting up to use the facilities, but near-constant..? I wondered if there was perhaps a room upstairs used by night staff and they were walking around...? The soundproofing between rooms isn't great either, with other occupants' conversations and televisions easily audible, and distracting if you're trying to rest or work. Anyway, by the second night, I decided to cut my losses and checked out early. Another problem I have is high-anxiety and so I wasn't able to raise the issue with staff to perhaps change room or anything. If you don't suffer from being overly-aware/affected by noise, then you might be okay here. Otherwise, you probably want to look elsewhere.

The hotel and the room were excellent service was brilliant from the staff from the reception right through to the bar and breakfast couldn't be more helpful easy link to the motorway good parking
