Schwerin, 130 kilometres northeast, and Kiel, located 170 kilometres to the north, are two excellent cities that are just a day trip away from Bergen.

Escape on a trip to some nearby natural sights. 45 kilometres out of Bergen, Silbersee is all yours to discover. Tiergarten Hannover, 50 kilometres away, is another a popular place to immerse yourself in nature.

Make your stay an enlightening one with a historical tour of the Bergen-Belsen Memorial.

Be sure to go to other close-by attractions, such as the Hosseringen Museum and the Albert König Museum. These are located 19 kilometres east in Unterluess. Don't want to head back to your hotel just yet? The French Garden and the Castle Theatre are in Hambuehren, 19 kilometres to the south of Bergen.
