Clean, cosy room and really lovely staff, I didn’t have the breakfast but I did have a roast and it was fantastic. Will definitely stay again when I need to visit family

Located in Retford, Ye Olde Bell Hotel & Spa is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of Bassetlaw Museum and Hodsock Priory.
Overall stay spoiled by slow service at dinner in restaurant.48minutes between ordering and first course being served.I had to go to staff to find out what was happening.The same happened to a couple on the next table.Very poor communication from staff.Spoiled the meal.

Obviously a very rough location to stay, Pay as you go bar service, however also have to leave a £50 refundable deposit "for any damages" apparently I said to the girl who checked me in " is it really that rough?" Her response was "yes we have alsorts in here and the system won't let me check you ...
