Friendly staff, good breakfast buffet

Loved the location and great for hiking and relaxing. Food was good but not exceptional. Main complaint is that we left early in the morning to get to the airport, 6:30 am, and we could not get out of the building. Front desk was unmanned and despite yelling a bit for assistance, we basically had to undue 2 locks at top and bottom of doors and then pry the locked doors past their locked position to stretch it open. A little scary had there been an emergency. We did try walking around looking for additional exits but could not find any. After 5 minutes we resorted to escaping as best we could.

The room was very lovely!! Just VERY small. I couldn’t turn around or shut the door to the bathroom because of how small it was. This is a great place if you’re staying a night and passing through. Would stay here again.

The spa was marvelous. My husband and I spent nearly 2 hours moving from steam room, to pool, to sauna, to pool, to hot tub, to heated lounge chairs. Complementary robes and non-slip shoes. Absolutely peaceful and relaxing. Just what we both needed after a fast-paced week exploring Ireland. We also dined at their on-site Italian restaurant La Taverna Armento. A cozy, warm atmosphere with delicious pasta. I had the spaghetti armento and my husband had the pork ragu. Generous portions and reasonable pricing. I look forward to staying at this hotel again.

We stayed here after our ferry crossing as Dublin was too expensive. Parking was useful and the food was good.

The property itself is beautiful, and I’m sure the rooms look amazing. However, I couldn’t even get past the check-in. My wife and I flew in on a Wednesday morning and got to the hotel and were excited to check in. I even called the day before and told them I land early and I was told they were most certainly accommodate an early check-in by 11 AM because they weren’t sold out of rooms apparently. Upon arriving, the Front Desk personnel that I worked with was already ignorant, rude, and seemed a bit racially motivated. She immediately said we do not do early check-in until 4 PM, however, after I spoke to her and told her I had already confirmed with someone the night before she went to the back, spoke to whoever she had to and came back and said we have a room that’s in ““ Cleaning stages and will be ready shortly. While that was happening, I asked her if there was an upgrade available to a balcony room she said there was she went over and chatted with another Front Desk personnel and granted me the upgrade for free after the other person said sure this was exciting until she told me that this room two is in Cleaning stages and will be ready by 12 PM to which I was fine with however 12 PM came 1 PM came 2 PM came and still no room then she tells me unfortunately I can’t check you in until 4 PM when I explicitly told her I have a wedding at 3 PM to get to. Instead of explaining to me that my original room I booked was ready to go, which another Front Desk person had told me
