Bad experience!! Waited two hour with no response never got into the room. No front desk or on-site staff. Had to book another hotel was very disappointed. I’d go elsewhere next time.

The property was located in a good area of town, close to a train station and many attractive locations. The cleaning lady (Sara) was very nice and helpful. We did not get the code to enter the building before we got there. The problem was that we had not paid the city taxes, but we did not receive any message on how to pay them before we arrived. Someone was leaving the building and let us in, so we then ringed the bell of Casa Lirio on the first floor (where all the rooms are located) and Sara put us in contact with someone on WhatsApp to make the payments. After that, everything was easy and we had a good stay. The room was spacious and looked just like in the photo we had received when we booked it. I suggest to contact the hotel management ahead of time to ensure everything is set before you arrive to avoid unnecessary stress at the moment of arrival.

Great but not for everyone

This is a very particular kind of place to stay. It is not for everyone. If you are looking for a very cool, urban, very boutique place this is it. If you are looking for a more traditional hotel, you won’t be happy here. I liked it. The room was spotless, neat and organized. The staff was excellent. The front door and first floor are very urban. The location is pretty urban too. The bathroom is not a separate room. The tub was out in the open. The toilet and shower were separate glass stalls.

My family suffered so much while sleeping in that room. Someone had smoked in the bathroom before and they had to spray a lot of air freshener to get rid of the smell. We suffered the whole time we stayed in that smell. It was so so painful, I even got a headache. The surrounding area was not safe and it was noisy all night.

Not a traditional hotel arrangement, with no street level presence. Check-in is on the first floor accessed by buzzing the desk on an intercom. However, the staff is friendly and offers helpful orientation. The location is within easy walking distance of museums, coffee shops and very good dining options. Overall I had a positive experience and would stay here again.
