A Magical Stay in the Heart of Bar Harbor From the moment I arrived at Ivy Manor, I felt like I had stepped into a storybook. The Tudor-style charm, beautifully landscaped grounds, and cozy fire pits created the perfect New England ambiance. The location is unbeatable—just steps from Bar Harbor’s main shops, restaurants, and waterfront—but still feels like a quiet, private retreat. My room was impeccably clean, stylishly furnished, and full of thoughtful touches. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, offering local tips and genuine hospitality that made my stay unforgettable. Whether I was relaxing outside by the fire with a drink, enjoying the manicured gardens, or heading out for a scenic day in Acadia National Park, everything about Ivy Manor felt easy, elegant, and just right. I love this Inn and will definitely be back. The decor was everything I was hoping for and more. The fireplace in the room and beautiful room set up was perfect - I’d move in if I could. It’s early spring but the grounds were well kept and pretty. New mulch was laid during my stay and a few blooms are starting to peak out. The weather was nice enough the front garden cabana bar opened and the fire pits were ablaze. Couldn’t ask more for a better location being right in the village to walk around and check out the shops. Parking was very easy in the hotel lot.

Given the nature, Bar Harbor, most of the hotels in town will be smaller. But this one is especially well located. I was concerned that the hotel being on the main road would be noisy, but then the road barely has any traffic on it and it's mostly pedestrians walking by from shop to shop. I had one of the bungalow cabins in the back of the hotel, which was perfect off the street quiet yet easy to get in and out of to the restaurant which are within a Stonesthrow. I would stay here again for sure.

Check in was a poor experience. There was nobody at the front desk, and after calling the listed number 3 times and having it go to voicemail, someone came to check us in who was not very polite. The property is overall nice—it has an antique feel and there is very nice sitting space outside in the front lawn area.

Cute and clean property. We stayed in one of the cottages. It was cozy and quiet. The bar and yard out front are pretty busy in the evening and when there’s live music. The property is well cared for with cute landscaping and is right in the middle of the main drag. Very convenient. Highly recommend this property.

Beautiful ivy covered inn and cabins.

Wonderful old style inn with antique styling of all of the furnitings. The yard and firepits for the evening were perfect additions as well as the afternoon entertainment.
