The rooms were clean, but the first room I was in was a little small, the TV was small, and I could not figure out the toilet flush initially, it's not your normal typical toilet flush. Finally figured it out. The second room I got as I added an extra day was nicer, so my guess is not all rooms are consistently nice. Good luck. I am a solo traveler so it wasn't a bad experience at all, just a little different than my previous hotel stays. This place must be big because there are so many rooms and is a kind of maze with many corners to turn, going upstairs, going downstairs to get to your room. The restaurant and bar are amazing! For this reason I would not recommend it to a family.
