Book Ballogie hotels

We stayed 2 nights and paid £114 per night for bed and breakfast in a Heritage room called Irvine. The soundproofing in the room was shocking with a loud humming noise coming from behind our bed and the noise of doors slamming and guests talking. When I reported this to receptionist she acknowledged that the humming noise was from the room next door’s plumbing. I was not offered a different room. We were visited by both a spider and cockroach in the bathroom. I would therefore strongly recommend not to stay in the room called Irvine. The breakfast was OK. The croissants and muffins were fresh but when they were gone they were gone. My advice is to go for breakfast early. The porridge from the menu was very good and I would recommend it. IMO the property needs a lot of money spent on renovation and as an example the windows need replacing throughout the property. IMO most of the younger staff need extra training to help them understand better customer service. Overall our stay was a below average experience for a 4 star hotel, but reasonable value for money.

Good location

The hotel was in a fantastic location and most of the staff were helpful and fairly friendly. The toilets are not easily accessible for guests with mobility problems and the vegan meal was dreadful.

Wonderful hotel near Balmoral with comfortable rooms and staff definitely represented the classic highland hospitality! Great welcome and restaurant on grounds with cozy lobby area near a roaring fireplace. Staff gave great recommendations of the area. Will definitely stay again!

Very nice one-night stay. Lovely building and grounds. A bit too cold to enjoy the outdoors, but the gardens and general outdoor areas are very nice indeed. Would be fabulous on a nice warm sunny day. Rooms are large and comfortable, although facilities look a bit dated (not necessarily a bad thing if you like things old-school and traditional). Lovely staff, very welcoming.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Basic amenities but that was all we wanted. They have an EV charger in the car park which was an unexpected bonus. The fee was £0.50/kWh which is reasonable.
