Immediately upon arriving, we faced our main issue with this hotel: Even though our stay was prepaid through Expedia, the person at the front desk told us that they "were sold out of the type of rooms we paid for". (We prepaid for a two-queen-bed type of room. We were asked if we could accept a 1-queen-bed and a Sofa-bed room, and to make up for their mistake, they would waive the safety-deposit / holding charge on our card. When he was finishing the check-in process and was providing us our key cards, I got an alert that a charge was made to my debit card. It was their standard holding charge for a safety-deposit, USD 90/night, for 2 nights = $180. My particular bank does not release a holding charge from any hotel until after 30 days from the date the holding charge is made. Gigantic inconvenience. The hotel employee even called "a manager", to try and fix it, but could never do it. It was upsetting how incompetently we were checked-in and consequently, monetarily affected by this mistake. Don't think I'll stay there again.
Other than that, the hotel is great, excellent location, two blocks from Centennial Park, State Farm Arena, and the Georgia Aquarium and Coca-Cola Museum. Excellent breakfast quality and superior service by the kitchen staff.
