As close to the heart of the city as you can get, Giannis Village Apartments is a terrific place to hang out after a lively day of travelling.

Don't skedaddle before you've gone to the Dimokratias Square and the Archaeological Museum of Agrinion in Agrinio. If you're keen to spend a night or two in Agrinio, consider the rates at the Leto Boutique Hotel and Marpessa Smart Luxury Hotel. 60 kilometres to the southeast of Astakos you can also stay at West Achaea, home to the Castella Beach and Koralli Beach. Kato Achaia Square and the Eleutheria Statue are up there with the most popular places to explore when you're in West Achaea.

Preveza is home to around 17,000. It can be found 75 kilometres northwest of Astakos. Ancient Kassopi, the Ancient Theatre of Kassopi and Monastery of Agia Pelagia are local attractions that are worth checking out. There are a good range of accommodations in Preveza. Unless you're going to pitch a tent at Araxos Airport, it might be wise to book some accommodation. The Verde al Mare is not too far away, or you could always travel to the centre of town. It's 50 kilometres away.
