Where do I start… we arrived on the 26th to greeted by reception and handed out room key, the room was below ground level with a tiny double rectangular window situated beside the seating arrangement of next doors bar where if you manage to open the window it leaves the customers looking down right into your room. The aircon was cut off to the room on the second night and the Tv didn’t work at all, total black screen. Almost as if it’s a fake television as the red light was present at all times indicating stand by. We were told they were down everywhere in hotel but as I went onto read reviews this has been an ongoing issue for weeks now! After our first night sleep both me and my partner woke up covered in bites which our GP back home now has confirmed as bed bugs, there’s no surprise here as on the last night I thought to look under the bed and it was like a vending machine of half eaten chocolate bars and sweats. The room comes with zero appliances other than 2 coat hangers and a railing. The shower room is connected to the bedroom and was in the format of a wet room with no shower screen/curtain therefore after every use the entire room was swimming with water, this resulted in us having to use all our towels to dry the place up with every use, stay clear of this hotel! It is not as described nor advertised, this is me and my partners 5th time visiting Amsterdam and every hotel we’ve stayed in has been of a similar description/price range/location & image it’s poorly run!
