In a quiet residential area and yet we were close enough to nearly everything to walk. Excellent reception staff and someone available 24/7. I have Parkinson’s and they went out of their way to help me. This included assistance when I found the heavy doors hard to cope with including coming to take my case and other things down to the taxi in the early hours of the morning. We stayed not in the main part of the hotel but in a separate house next door and it would have been helpful to have had disposable cups with lids to take coffees and teas back up to our rooms from where the drinks machine was situated in the lounge area in the main hotel. The “honesty” bar (you simply told them at check out time) where by you were responsible for paying for drinks, snacks, sweets taken during your stay seemed to work well certainly from a guest’s point of view, saving a lot of time and aggro. A bowl of fruit would have been nice alongside the crisps and sweet snacks also a jug of iced water by the coffee machine particularly in hot weather. I had “comfy” single room which gave me just a bit more space, well designed wardrobe and shelving unit containing: safe, fan, simple light weight hair drier. kettle usual drink supplies (though no biscuits) and cardboard cups (environmentally friendly but not very tasty - better proper mugs and glasses.) Spacious bathroom with good sized walk in shower, worked well mixing hot and cold water so no fear of getting burnt or frozen! Good value.

Clean, quiet, convenient

I stayed here on two different occasions in May and June of 2025. It was a great location; close to transit, dining, museums, groceries, etc. It was quiet and comfortable and the staff was helpful and congenial. My first room was a single which was very small but just fine for one person. My second room was a double which was exceptional. Staircases were steep and narrow, which is to be expected in an older building in Amsterdam, but there were small elevators which made it easy to move luggage and tired travelers to the rooms.

Really enjoyed my stay here! It’s located in a quiet area, which was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. Everything was super clean and recently renovated, giving it a fresh and comfortable vibe. The staff were really nice and helpful throughout my stay. And as a lovely touch, they even gave me a little gift at checkout. Such a thoughtful gesture! Would definitely stay here again.

Recommend!!

We added an extra day on our reservation and I submitted a review for that timeframe. This was a lovely hotel in a quiet area with access to the metro. The front office staff was friendly and very helpful. The staircases and elevator are very tight in case that’s a problem for you. Great place. Would stay again when visiting Amsterdam.

Highly Recommend!!!

This was a lovely hotel in a quiet area but still close to the action and the metro line. We walked everywhere and were able to grab the metro easily when needed. The office staff was very friendly and hekpful helpful with any questions we had. Our room was spacious. The elevator and staircases are very small since it’s an older property. Just an FYI in case it’s a problem for you.

When I arrived to the hotel for check in the sheets in my room were covered in stains and hair. They did change them for me, but I felt disappointed by this lack of cleanliness. The room was also significantly smaller than it appeared in photos. I could only open my smaller suitcase on the bed and in one small corner of the room. I felt as though this was not worth how much I paid.

Lovely small hotel in quiet neighborhood near public transport and museums Very clean. Our double bed room was spacious enough and beds were comfortable. The only issue for us was the steps into our building, which was not easy for those with any mobility issues. We would highly recommend this property

I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is so helpful and pleasant. The street is quiet and close to public transportation. There are many restaurants close by. I had a single room which had everything I needed.
