But don't start ripping your hair out just yet. There is a range of hotels in Alghult, which is 25 kilometres away from Alsterbro. These options include the Kosta Boda Art Hotel and Vidinge Gård.

Everyone knows Aussies are pretty laid back, so consider kicking back a little longer and going to the Kalmar Maritime Museum and the Kalmar County Museum in Kalmar, 40 kilometres to the southeast of Alsterbro. If you're keen to stay in Kalmar, look into the Clarion Collection Hotel Packhuset and Best Western Plus Kalmarsund Hotell. Or, you could stay in Oskarshamn, 45 kilometres to the northeast of Alsterbro, where you can pick from the Best Western Hotel Corallen and First Hotel Ett.
