There's only 1 hotel within a 10-kilometre radius of Alpiarca's centre, so you'll have to move faster than a kid hyped up on red cordial if you want somewhere to stay nearby.
You won't feel guilty about not setting the alarm if you book a room at Quinta da Gafaria. It's the most centrally located option available, so you'll still be able to squeeze in plenty of adventures!
Some more accommodation spots include the Hotel de Charme Casa da Amieira, which is 30 kilometres from the centre of Alpiarca, and the Hotel Lusitano, which is 20 kilometres away. And don't forget about the Benavente Vila Hotel, 35 kilometres away.
Can't keep those feet still? If you're furiously nodding in agreement, then go and explore the wider Centro region. Ruins, castles and traditional villages are a few popular places that should be on your must-do list. If landscapes are more your thang, explore the area's beaches, coastal plains and forests. Hungry for more? Common activities in this particular part of Portugal include mountain biking, so don't be scared to have a crack!
Looking for more to do? Spend a few hours checking out the Church of San Pedro de Tomar and the Museu Luso-Hebraico Abraham Zacuto. You'll find them in Tomar, 45 kilometres to the north of Alpiarca. If you'd like to stay in Tomar, consider the rates at the Hotel Dos Templarios and Residencial União. 45 kilometres to the north of Alpiarca you'll also find Fatima, which is home to the Lux Mundi and Dom Goncalo Hotel & Spa. Dinosaur Footprints Natural Monument and Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima are among the more popular places to experience for those visiting Fatima.
Sitting 50 kilometres west of Alpiarca is Caldas da Rainha, a regional centre with a population of 27,000. It's home to some great attractions, like the Barata Feyo Museum, Praca da Republica and the Jose Malhoa Museum. Why not also stop by Dom Carlos I Park and the Congress Cultural Centre Caldas da Rainha? Caldas da Rainha has places to stay to suit most budgets and tastes, such as the SANA Silver Coast and Hotel Cristal Caldas.
Caught the last flight to Alpiarca? Feeling bleary-eyed? Then it's probably wise to find somewhere to stay close to the airport. The Holiday Inn Express Lisbon Airport and the TRYP Lisboa Aeroporto are just short taxi rides from Humberto Delgado Airport, 70 kilometres from the centre of town.
