It's well known that Aussies just love to have a good time, so consider hanging round a little longer and checking out the Parque Natural do Vale do Guadiana and Igreja Matriz in Mertola, 40 kilometres to the northeast of Almodovar. This regional centre is located 45 kilometres south of Almodovar and has a population of 2,000.
