We checked in at 0030 so reception was closed which was expected. The message from the hotel gave me a code to use to gain entry.
At the hotel I was faced with a check in computer asking for my name and reservation number .
After 20 minutes I could not find a reservation number it would accept
We used the intercom to speak to someone and got the reservation number.
Using this we ‘eventually ‘ got the door to open after about 5 attempts.
The code sent by the hotel was infact the reservation number . A simple change in language could have assisted here .
Without my message to the hotel prior to travelling this code would not have been sent or available - so despite not knowing this code was the reservation number - how are you supposed to find that out if you don’t know you need it till 0030 when you are tired and trying to check in.
It was a poor check in process which even asked for around 2€ in payment and if we wanted breakfast etc . Can you imagine at 0030 if I want this - we just wanted to get to bed not be questioned
